Frustrated Alex Wood tosses glove into the air after giving up a hit

An unexpected moment materialized against the Colorado Rockies on Friday night at Coors Field.

Giants starting pitcher Alex Wood gave up a single to Brain Serven in the second innings.

That is why he threw his glove into the air in utter frustration.  Serven's single to center was the fourth base runner Wood had allowed in the inning.

There was a leadoff single by Randal Grichuk.  A two-run homer was crushed by Montero to center, giving the Rockies a 2-0 lead.

Connor Joe stepped with one out.  Serven got the opportunity to hit up the middle, inducing Wood's glove toss.

In this season Wood took an entry in the game with a 4.18 ERA which is supposed to increase after this Friday night.
